Something's wrong with Sunny! HELP!

Another question...how will I get Sunny to eat the crushed oyster shell? She's a very picky eating anyways...will she know by instinct?

Instinct. She will dive right in if she needs it.

it seems like crushed oyster shells is like crack to ducks, lol... they dive into it! You can give it to her separate or you can mix it in her food.

Giving her kale and feeder fish is a good way to oost her calcium right off the bat. You'll need to watch those eggs and her behavior closely until she is laying normally.

Your feed will last longer if you put it in an air tight container too. We put ours in a dog food container (i got my first ones from walmart, the bigger one holds 50lbs of food).

I wanted to tell you that crushed cuttle bone is okay to use. If you crush it up over her food she'll eat it. Cuttle bone is powdery when you crush it, for those of you that don't know. It'll be good until you can get her some oyster shell.

One of my 11 month old ducks gets lethargic now and then, she will refuse to eat her food. She's not egg bound, still lays one every day. When she starts showing signs of being lethargic I make her a big bowl of scrambled eggs with a dash of milk, a bigger dash of water (she loves them really wet) and I sprinkle some brewer's yeast over top. She goes nuts eating that and within fifteen minutes is jumping around having a good old time. She's a very picky eater, would rather eat from the bottom of the pond than from her feed dishes, however scrambled eggs, peas or fresh cut greens are 2 things she can't resist.

If she is still drinking, a little raw apple cider vinegar in the water may help. I had a couple of ducks get all listless, and the ACV perked them up overnight.
