somethings wrong

They've gone away to bed now
Got dark a little early due to a lot of rain
She seems back to herself fully, quacking at me, eating food, running about, as though the ordeal never happened

She's so brave, stronger than I am!

That's my girl
She's gone to bed happy with a full crop!

She’s so precious! So now you can relax… until the next time she makes you a nervous wreck. Hopefully it won’t be egg related. Lol
Yes, there will definitely be a next time lol

I love these girls more than anything but they're the most stressful thing to ever happen to me :lau

And yet I want more! :gig

When ducks are contracting like that because they are egg bound, a luke-warm epsom salt bath can help her feel better. Be careful she doesn't drink the water.

Did you give her liquid calcium (gluconate or citrate)? Best to continue it daily until she is laying normally.

I hope she and you are feeling better tomorrow!

Possibly, though I'd be worried that bringing her inside with all the dogs here, plus bringing her sister who gets super stressed about change to her routine, may cause more stress than good
shes having a nap now so hoping she feels better. I dont think she ate or slept all day, so shes incredibly tired- I may be able to bring her into the shower room and fill our old baby bath for her, if she doesnt improve enough. It's actually starting to get dark already, so it'll be bedtime for them soon.
If my family weren't such a pain about it, I'd probably have brought them in for the night so I can continue watching her. I don't like putting them away for the night so soon after it's all happened, maybe that's silly, but I worry a lot
You can give her a lukewarm epsom salt bath in a bucket while sitting on your chair. (I have a cylinder from the trunk of a tree to sit on in my coop. The only problem is occasionally one of the residents 💩 on it!

we don't have that here, I use calcium gluconate in powder form, which works okay
I'll probably give her some more in the morning, to be on the safe side

Not too sure if she'll lay tonight as normal- since she laid two today I'm thinking she'll skip tonight

The chair is in there while waiting on taking it to the tip
Gives me somewhere to sit, but don't get me wrong, these monkeys fly up and poop on it all the time
So I have to clean it off before sitting lol
I thought I might replace it with a little plastic bench, so I can sit with them in the summer

Looks a good chair to keep in there. Why take it to the tip and replace it with plastic?
