Ha!! Cute pics!! I thought the picture of the week was funny too! That hen has a look on her face that I wouldn't want to mess with. It was like, "ARE YOU DONE YET?!!" Love it.

OMG... I have buttercups too. Jump all over me all the time. Treat obsessed little buggers. Love them to pieces. They are about my favorite breed and pretty good little layers. I don't know about evil looking but they are so funny.

I love my buttercup girls now, although I didn't really at first. They are so comical they just grow on you.....even if they are sometimes bouncing off the walls (er fences). I guess I am due to clip wings again as they and the white leghorns still have no problem flying up 4-6 feet easily. Grrrr....

They are, however, very NOISY.

I have one Buttercup who will walk through the yard just screeching away (or whatever that noise is called). And they are often the last to get put away at night. There might be one last bug to be found, you know......

They are also really really small. Small enough that I figured my Giant Rooster wouldn't even attempt it. Well, I was wrong.....I don't think it is actually making anything happen, but he does try. He is so big though, he stands on the ground instead of the hen. Oh man, I wish I had gotten a picture.

6chickens, that is my Jersey Giant rooster. He is a big boy.

My chickens sure are happy! they'd be a lot happier if that 3rd rooster would disappear but otherwise they are happy as can be.
