Somone, please answer my questions! :(((

Sadly things took a turn for the worst this morning, and the little guy passed

peacfully in his brooder...Last night he was really having a hard time standing,

tumbling everywhere, and chirping loudly, then he layed on his side and started

panting, at 87F. (there were warmer spots in the brooder) I took the band-aid off,

and let him be. This morning, around 6:30, he passed away. His mom survived

an extremely bad situation. I guess it just wasn't meant to be. I'm never helping

a chick hatch again, unless I absolutely have to. Thanks for all the help..

I've had mixed results with helping a chick hatch. I've never one completely normal though, they are either deformed, stunted, too weak etc

I am so sorry the little guy didn't make it. You did your very best to give him every chance at surviving. I tend not to help them out either now. I go by if they are meant to make it out they will but i too learnt this the hard way after helping some early on that did not make it. Don't feel bad you did what you could for him.

yes, I have three friends that ended up with one chick, and the chicks didn't make it. All different pre circumstance... buying two, one dies, then the other one doesn't make it much longer... that kind of thing... one was an adult hen, the whole flock but the one got eaten by a predator, and the last one lasted a week or so longer and died... I can't remember the third, but that one didn't make it either. I've always just figured they didn't do well on their own, because they are a flock animal.

I am so sorry to hear the little chick did not make it. May he rest in peace. You did everything possible to help him.
