Son (10) had first horse show today! photo added again

So a little idea of how proud I am of my horse and son today (ok a little bragging there) but I picked up a 10 year old Mustang mare thid February who has not been ridden in 4-5 years and a son ewho has had onlt 3 yesa 3 lessons. They got 7 first place ribbins 2 champion a second place and sixth place ribbon today. Ok I try not to brag but had to share this.

I would brag too. How awesome. My son sadly wont ride anymore. A horse accidentally lost its footing and fell on him. One of those rare accidents you hear about , but never think it will happen. He loved riding up until then. That was in Dec. He is out of a wheelchair , will require one more surgery to remove the pens in his femer.
I have had a hard time after that getting my daughter to ride. Even though their horse is broke and super sweet, he wasn't the horse that feel on my son. But they just cant get past it. Hoping in time. Just no matter how broke, how safe the horse is put. Helmet on the kids. My sons riding helmet saved his life the doctors.
