SOO DISCUSTING!

Food grade DE is safe and works great on roaches and other bugs with exoskeletons. It is natural and it's affects are physical (pulls moisture out of things) not chemical or toxic so you and your dog and your baby and your chickens can all eat it without getting sick. It is a powder so its a bit messy for house use.

The roach hotels and baits are all toxic. My dog ate one once and got very sick. It didn't kill her but it wasn't good. So, be careful with your placement of those and keep them out of reach.
Ok, so maybe behind things or in between things for the Roach hotel? I have 1 inside cat and my son.. the outside I may use what you'r talking about as they get VERY bad in the garage!!

I have read all the posts. How to get rid of roaches: have an inside pet chicken! Slap a diaper on her and turn her loose. I once had a pet chicken and we would hear her pecking along all the baseboards catching any unlucky bugs that got in the house. Didn't use a diaper, had a weenie dog who kept cleaning up "behind" the chicken.

Haha! That's a smart idea but I don't think i'd want a chicken in my house to tell you the truth!

Eh oh well :) They're hilarious when they're inside! When they run around on the wood floor their feet sound so funny! :)

Ha, you want to know about Roaches. I worked in a chicken processing plant, yes it was sprayed with insecticides on a regular bases. BUT under the plant in "crawl space" there was roaches that where so large we used to joke about that one day they where going to play rodeo cowboy with the chickens. YES they where that big, scary big and they were not scared of humans.

My daughter works in a cafe that was lousy with them, and someone came in with a recipe you make at home that you put around and it works the best of anything they had tried, including an exterminator. I kid that the cockroaches have become immune to it, and they set around the patio drinking that stuff out of cups! The recipe that she made for the cafe is boric acid, flour, and bacon grease and you mix it to make a paste that holds together really well. Make balls and put them around. Don't make a huge batch of it, because you want it to stay sort of soft so they can eat it and take it back to the nest where they die and then the others eat that one and it goes on thru out the nest. You can also take the boric acid and mix powdered sugar together and put in cup cake papers and set around. . .same effect on them. But they love that bacon grease so those really do work. I don't have the actual recipe, this is just what I remembered her telling me, so if it has another ingredient, I will be sure to post it for you!!
