There are some bad eggs out there, aren't there?

I bought very expensive Black Copper Marans eggs last month (Ebay) and only one hatched. They were fertile and developed but died before pipping. Of course this could have been my fault. But, the thing is, the one that hatched is a Blue Splash Marans ! It's not even a FBCM. Makes me wonder about the integrity of the seller for sure.
Probably it will be a roo and he will end up as an expensive chicken dinner.

Even though they were intact the truth is that the travel distance was so short and technically the air Sac wasn't really intact which takes quiet and bit of shaking. It does have to do with the lack of attention and packing/handling care.

It was probably due to them being shipped upside-down...they were probably stored the same way which would make the air cells 'move'.

I'm horrible!! Using that A word... now I feel dirty!

So sorry for that horrible experience. But don't give up on ebay. I have had some problems with a couple of sellers but I have learned to check feedback percentage and ask questions. There are alot of decent people selling. You just really have to be aware. Hope you find your bantam EE's.

Thanks Patricia. I will buy again I have some melanistic Pheasant eggs on the way next week from a reputable ebay seller.

Chev- LMAO You have no idea the restraint and concentration it took NOT to slip up in the OP I am steamin about this whole thing.

I am normally a diligant FEEDBACK checker but I was so stoked to see Bantam EE eggs I got ahead of myself....

NO MORE OF THAT.
