Does anyone know what this bump on my chicken's foot is?

We recently got six new chickens and today I was just having a look at every body to make sure they were not being bullied or that they had any diseases or such like and I found this lump on my cockerel's foot.
At first look I thought it was just a lump of dirt, but on closer inspection I realised that it was attached to his foot. I tried to clean it but it seemed to stay that colour.

This is a picture of the underside of his other foot and I'm not sure if that skin is just peeling or if it is something like bumblefoot.
Please help if you can, thanks.:)

It appears this chicken has a case of scaly leg mites. Soak for fifteen minutes in warm Epsom salt water, dry off and slather generously with castor oil of Vaseline. Don't wipe off even if it becomes dirty. You should repeat in a week to get any new ones that have hatched.

The rooster has deadly spurs that need to be filed down to a rounded end to avoid injuries to hens and even to himself.

If you suspect bumblefoot, do a soak in Epsom salt water for that, also. Then remove any black scabs and the kernel of pus usually attached to it. Spray with Vetericyn, dry, and put antibiotic ointment on the wound and wrap with non stick gauze pad and Vetrap to keep the dirt out,
