As long as she is in a clean place there is no need to bandage it. Give her time and keep spoiling her!

Ok that's what I'll do. She's a very sweet speckled sussex. Hopefully she's learned to be careful around the horses. Best bet is one of them stomped at a fly and got her, because they all scatter when the horses move!

Sophie's back out with the flock now. I put Wound Kote on her toe and sprayed it with AluShield just as an added protection, but she's walking normally and is very happy to be back with them. I'd been putting her in her outside kennel during the day-it's right next to the sage bushes and AC where the gals love to hang out and stay cool during the heat of the day. I find this really helps with re-integration. So far it looks like no necrotic tissue, the wound is healing very nicely and her toe is straight.
