Hello Peeps, I noticed this sore on my EE Scarlett's comb. It appears that it's healing but I wanted to run it by chicken pros. Some of the other hens have a small black spot here and there, which look like little peck wounds. This one looks sort of peely. I've also uploaded a pic of Elizabeth, the White Laced Red Cornish, as she has a small black spot that I think is more typical of a peck. Bad pic, I know, but the WLRC are flighty. Any advise appreciated. All hens are happy and healthy otherwise, and lay consistently. I live in Napa, so I don't think it's frostbite. Thanks for your help. Michele

They have a 30 x 50 run and are free in the yard every day from sunrise to sunset. The WLRC are VERY bossy and one of my BO's has started going what I call Full Turkey to assert her chicken power. Here's a pic of part of the yard. Scarlett is the smallest hen.
