Thank you!It's not going to be fun no matter how you do it. I've never had to, but with both chickens and cockatiels the method I've read about is to grasp the feather stub firmly with needlenose pliers, put your other hand on the skin close to the base of the feather to support it so that it doesn't tear, and pull firmly and carefully.
You may need an extra set of hands to secure the chicken.
