One chick had a still red umbilical cord it was dragging around with the egg shell and the shell caught on something and it's bleeding and it looks like it pulled something out of it's belly. All I had to staunch bleeding was corn starch and I put it back in and it started bleeding again.

Can I do anything? It's not bleeding excessively, but any bleeding is bad. 😭

from my experiences with hatching chicks this will heal up just fine. just make sure it doesn't infected.
Any recommendations for how to keep it clean? Do I keep her in the incubator longer? There's another chick and two other pipped eggs in there right now. There's currently seven in the brooder from this hatch. It looks like the bleeding has slowed down to oozing.

I would keep it in the cleanest place either the incubator or brooder. it can't hurt to keep it in the incubator for a day longer. In my experiences I have just then left the chicks alone, eventually it will scab and heal.

How's your chick doing?
The bottom area clotted and I put antibiotic cream on the butt area. I couldn't get a really good picture of it last night. I don't know if I need to give an.epsom salt bath to clean it up or if I should leave it. Otherwise, seemingly strong chick.
