So this 6 month old chicken has had sour crop for like forever and it won’t go away I have tried vaginal yeast cream. ( that got expensive), Epsom salts, oils, and it got better for 1 day but I messed up😫 and chickens dumped hay exposing straw to him and he ate it now nothing is working uggghh

But the problem here is I’m going to camp for a week so my mom will be watching them so how can I get him to stay stable while I’m gone
Should I put him down, he seem so spunky and wants to live

He is eating not really drinking for like 4 days so I have been mixing lots of water with his food
Active but stumbles easily
Please please excuse the mess I have been packing and in town haven’t gotten to cleaning up

He truly is beautiful and a mosaic

I treated him for like 2 1/2 weeks maybe longer... but I got dewormer and am treating tomorrow and cocci see I don’t think he would of made it this long if it was and I did treat for it the last two days of our chick it cleared up ( I was trying 3 other ways at that time ) so I don’t know if it was that or not

If your losing birds to sour crop, then you need to figure this out.

What do you feed including treats?
Do they have grit available?

I'd deworm, treat for Coccidiosis and sour impacted crop.
Safeguard, Corid, Miconazole and Coconut oil.
See that he's eating chick starter and drinking well.
Provide granite grit free choice.
