My poor baby chickie just can't catch a break! She was throwing up large amount of saliva and when we went to the vet he said it was sour crop. He wants us to treat it with chlorhexidine gluconate in their waterer. I've goggled it and I haven't found any info on saying it was for ingested use. Only external use. It even says so on the bottle. I'm not usually so sceptical about a treatment option prescribed by any medical professionals, but when we got home she threw up.
For now they just have apple cider vinegar in their water. Has anyone heard of using chlorhexidine gluconate for treatment of sour crop?
Thank you!

No, never heard of using that!
I've heard that you need to make them regurgatate to get whatever toxins are inside of them out.
Doesn't sound like you need to do that, though. The poor chicken!
