My hen has really smelly breath and had a white fluid coming out her mouth yesturday. It's midday and when I felt her crop it felt like a waterbloon, but doesn't seem too swallen. She seems quite happy and is eating and drinking (I've feed her yoghurt, grit, acv and water and bread soaker in olive oil) we are also trying to treat her lice and her bum is also very red, bald and swallen looking which she has had for months. Also I don't think she is laying. If she does have sour crop what do I feed/do with her?

Sounds like you are doing everything right. I would try holding her upside down (securely) and massaging her crop. It's normal for her to vomit; good even. Keep up the olive oil. Also, put some save-a-chick probiotics in her water. (Not with the ACV though. You may even want to stop with the ACV for a bit.)

Oh that's good! So it's ok for her to eat the pellets and everyrhing...I just have to feed her yoghurt and olive oil extra?

Educate me... What does olive oil do for the sour crop.?
I have a lil chick 9 weeks old that has horrible breath..! I was putting oat meal in with the cracked corn and crumbles for all my flock. But the only lil chick seemed to develop problems. Maybe the oatmeal is fermenting in the crop?

The lil chick is in house now as the mother hen rejected her. No more oatmeal for her
Just crumbles. With sour crop would the chick constantly be opening her beak with each breath? There's no wheezing only an occasional sneeze.
