Source of the original Freedom Ranger?

Discussion in 'Meat Birds ETC' started by JacksonHollow, Mar 8, 2009.

  1. I found an old post about availability of these meat birds listing an Amish gentleman in Hillsboro, WI as the hatchery's original source for the Freedom Rangers. I've spoken to the man and he is calling them Freedom Rangers. As they are local to our farm I am placing an order tomorrow.

Doing further research today I see people are ordering them from Canada and this is claimed as the original source?

What have you heard on the original source of the Freedom Ranger? They look very similar in pictures from both sources.

I'd also like to know if the Wisconsin sourced ones from prior years laid brown eggs.

I believe the original source came from imports from France.

The original source was Hubbard Breeders, an international poultry breedin congomlerate that breeds meat chickens for many applications.
