My favorite feed store had both grey and fawn runner ducklings when I was there yesterday. I ALMOST succumbed, but I was on my way to the foothills to do something at the not-quite-mine house and visit some friends, so I really couldn't pick up any runner ducklings.
But in my mind's eye, I see 3 black, bibbed call ducks (hatched 'em), 4 Cayugas (Louie and the 3 feed store ducklings), plus 3 or 4 fawn runners on my property some day, mingling with the zillion chickens I already own. Yah, I think runners need to be added to my flock. I'll see if there are any available once I get actually moved in.....
