Sourland's 2012 season

lady, are rabbit shows generally one day events?
Most are. There are state/breed conventions that are typically 2-day events that include a dinner on the first night (and no, they don't serve the animals that didn't win as entrees!). There is a national convention that is 5 days. Most shows start at 8 am and all entries must check in at that time.

Funny story - a rabbit club decided to hold a rare evening show, and a friend and I decided to attend. We weren't showing anything, so we could have left early, but she was trying to buy a rabbit from someone and we wound up leaving about 9 pm, for what was going to be at least a 3-hour drive. I had been feeling a bit off all day, but it got much worse as we were driving (I was driving, as it was my vehicle). We wound up pulling into a gas station where I paced the parking lot for at least an hour trying to get my stomach under control. Finally, feeling slightly better, I asked her if she could drive. The Bronco had a stick, and it had been years since she'd driven one, and she wasn't sure how much she remembered (not much, it turned out!) With her driving, and me coaching (and navigating) we got underway again, but come to find out, I had missed a turn somewhere, and we wound up way off course. By the time all that finally got worked out, we wound up getting home about 4 am. I don't remember just when during this whole mess she asked me if I was pregnant, but she nailed it. My due date? No joke - Easter!
