Hi! Greenville, SC here. My family got some day old chicks from a local breeder near here in May, looks like we have more roosters than we planned (they were supposedly pullets…) we’re at 15 weeks now and trying to figure out where we’re headed!

I hatch out a few hundred chicks every year of which around half will be males. Since I am a breeder, I do grow them out and keep the best males as my future breeders and sell the rest. I'm lucky that I have buyers that I have been selling to for years, so I don't have a problem selling them. It helps to offset the cost of feed. We have a farm swap twice a month at our local TSC. The buyers come to the swap to get the birds. Good luck and have fun...
