Amy If you get a chance, try Google Chrome. It is working better for me. Not jumping like in Mozilla Firefox. I have Windows XP and an old old old computer (which I love). I have a newer one only a year or so old but like the old one better. Chrome crashed for me this morning but it may have been this old computer or the add on that I was trying to add. I deleted the add on, restarted and Chrome has been working great since.
I am just now starting out on here. My mom (dixiebeast) and my grandma (patsy) got me thinking about joining, so i did. I myself dont actually own any of the chickens.. but i have a horse, our new chicken dog that we got a couple weeks ago, and a cat. I do want phoenix's so if anyone has any or comes across any.. please let me know!![]()
Thanks so much for all the info amy! I guess I'll probably just try to get me a silkie and/or cochin sometime this spring. Have you ever kept chickens with ducks? I'm thinking about putting whoever I get to be a broody with my call ducks.

Oh yeah, my ducks and chickens have lived together quite a bit. I have an extra cute MFC roo that lives in the Muscovy pen and coop. Poor guy, I sold all his friends and though he free ranges with the chickens he goes back to sleep with the dirty ducks. Extra roos and pullets often live with the ducks and sometimes I can't break them of going back to sleep in those coops no matter how many times I transfer them to the free range coop.
I think Joy has her call ducks in with her d'Uccles since it is such a large pen.
I don't know much about bees, but I do know they give you hives.
