I had a great day riding with mom to visit Nikki and my Amy...I can't believe I only came home with one lonely egg????? Of course I tried to buy all Amy's best birds but she refused???? Doesn't she know they will look just as pretty at my house???

I found a new love also with the creole giant Cochin( I love me some cochins)and Amy woudn't share her Mille project gals or the new white she just got with me(insert stompy pouty smiley here) and the silkies at Nikki"s house have me wondering about those too...

Hey Wait!!! You started to do silkies and then I fell in love...you got away from them and now I have them...I see a Mother-Daughter feud coming!!! THANKS ALOT CarolinaChickenKeeper (Nikki) !!!! Looks like we are gonna have family wars over your White Silkies!!! LOLOL

(not even going to talk about the others you have...yet!!!) Those birds are absolutely marvelous!!! I am definitely going back to try to snag some more... So...Sam...just get this out of your mind!!! LOL

And thank God your pocket wasn't big enough to steal that Creole from Amy...we were watching you very closely!!!

It was a wonderfully-too-short visit everywhere since we were running late for the drive for school pick-up after visiting and had to cut both stops short! All us gals could talk forever if the day was just longer!!! I met another wonderful friend face-to-face finally today and she was sooo hospitable (ok-ditch the bologna) CarolinaChickenKeeper (aka...Nikki) is such a warm and inviting person and OMG...her Silkies are beyond description!!! I thought my pair was SQ Awesome...those have me doing more than a double-take!!! Sooo happy to come away with that so coveted white silkie hen I have spent months looking for!!! And I also got a gorgeous pair of Black Marans from WestKnollAmy (aka...Amy)!!! I would say my luck is good...but this is more than luck!!! Thanks Amy! Albert is not sleeping in the huge dog crate like we discussed 2x3x2!!! He and his lady is now in an 8x12x5 tall mini coop/tractor!!! They are beautiful!!! Won't bore y'all where everyone else is tonight but will say ME and THEM seem very happy!!! OK...others are in my house

It was great seeing you, Patsy! You ladies were charming, as usual! Wish we could have visited longer. Too many things to have to do in such a short time. The days and people just fly by too fast!
I hope all the new birds are settling in well.

Glad you ladies got home safe and sound and the kids picked up from school. And I hope Samantha's egg hatches, though it may not do her much good if it turns out to be a roo!
Sounds like Albert and his lady will be very happy. I hope you enjoy the Frizzle roo and the blue Ameraucana roo. You do love your roos, Patsy!

Lauren, how is your little girl this morning? She has a big cheering section, it seems. We all want her to get better for you.

I am just waiting for Blueberry Hill (aka April) to arrive and pick up all these BLRW chicks i hatched out for her. Still have 2 pipping in the eggs but they don;t seem in any hurry to hatch out. Bummer! I was hoping they would all be out by this morning. She is going to have a lovely group of kids growing up though. Hopefully she will share photos as they mature. It took me several years to get a flock I was pleased with.

House fire in upstate SC was my SIL's dad. It is going to be rough on her...his first reaction was to call her - she & her son called 911....both of them tried to get him out but smoke was so bad they could not find him, even though they could hear him..... her son did have to stay in hospital overnight....please keep them all in your prayers.

Let me just say.... I LOVED visiting Susanne's yesterday.

The view from where her house will be is going to be breathtaking!

The new little bottle babies are ADORABLE! Nicole carried one around almost the whole time.

I am absolutely in love with her LGDs. I tried most of the way home to convince Todd that we needed a couple~!


Rainbow row........GORGEOUS!

From the landscaping around the coops to the wreaths on the doors and other decorations. I don't think I would ever want to leave a coop if I had those! I would have to have one, too, for my craft/scrapbook room right among the chickens!

I brought home 3 newbies too!

After we left the hospital last night, I spent some time with all of them relaxing some. They aren't quite sure of me yet, lol. I keep getting that "OMG! Who are you?" look from them LOL!

Nicole loved one of the Calico roosters........If she had told me that before we were back in Laurens, I would have gotten one of those!

Now I have Huckleberry Farm Silkie eggs set, too!

You're sweet! It was great to have you all out. Nicole does have a way with animals! I hope the silkies get settled in. I'm starting to think about those Calico roosters. Need to do some research! But since I have two... let me know if you want the other one. Hope you have a good hatch!
