Sure, i get like 9 everyday lol. i have two under a bantam hen right now, first time hatching them. they should hatch in about a week and a half, if the heat doesn't kill them

Two boys and one is more dominant. Some of my drakes do not have much of a voice.

Need Pekin eggs? I have 5 girls and one drake in a breeding pen.
I am about to add another girl soon. She is getting big enough.
I have 2 that are going in the freezer. One is crippled and the other is blind. The blind one actually gets around quite well but she isn't very big and I do not need small egg layers.

and no, i don't think i need anymore pekins lol. I've learned from past experience that they are, well, sitting ducks at the pond, so i keep these guys up in the 'bird pasture'. Just these two make enough mess for me

. I would like to see some ducks on the pond though. What breeds are self-sufficient, but friendly? I've tried muscovys, but one drake would trek all the way up to our house and attack our chickens mercilessly, to the point where we had to kill him before he killed any chickens. I think he was just a mentally disturbed bird, however

and i've discovered that any white breed doesn't last more than a few months before they are taken by a predator. So, any recommendations would be super

I must say that Robert has always been on his best behavior when I am around him. As many ways as I can mess up sentences, I am sure he could make some really funny stuff out of them. I think we enjoy chicken, Guinea and turkey talk too much.

Have you had time to do anything else to the new coop, Robert? I really would like to see what you come up with when you finish it.

And speaking of turkey lurkeys.......they were very PO'd that I did not put them back in the brooder room at dark. My little babies.....
Yes, it is a messy brooder but I have the same problem as you guys and the other birds get on it and make deposits. What a mess. I have to cover it with boards when I put babies in there.

Oh!!!! I believe each and every one is a boy!! Terry went down to look at them last night and they displayed for him! I did not know they woudl do that at this age??? OMG! IT was unreal to see the tucked head, dropped wings and fanned little butt feathers. Every one of them did it, too.

I've read that turkey hens will display just like gobblers sometimes, as will peahens display like peacocks. So, maybe not all gobblers! unless you are extremely unlucky lol

Is anyone good friends with Gary Ramey of Ramey farms? I have tried and tried to contact him with no success. I have sent 2 emails to the email address from his web site. I also was able to find his phone number and have called several times and left voice mails and also had someone pick up and tell me I had the wrong number. I really was hoping to get so chicks from him sooner or later ( sooner ) would be better.

Gary has a hurt eye so he may not be reading his emails lately. He is on our FB Hobby Farmers thread less now than he used to be since he got hurt but he is still responding. Dixiebeast talks to him a good bit. I only get to skim over the threads.

I have been trying to read up on them a bit on the Turkey section here. A lot of them say the girls can display like the boys. It is funny that they only did it for DH though and not me or my DD. They must know he was the one that wanted them. I do enjoy the rotten buggers though!

For any of you that knew Jackie B on here, she has had her baby!!! We have a photo shoot going on next Thursday. I am taking chicks and ducklings for optimum cuteness!!!!

And I get to hold that most handsome baby boy! Can't wait!
