Ok, so I have read many posts on how horrible guinea hens are at taking care of the keets. Well I hope we have an exception, our hen has at least 3 other guineas willing to help care for her keets. The other guineas walk around and will even sit on the keets, so at one time there is at least 3 guineas sitting on the nest. The keets follow all of those guineas, and I think 1 of the guineas sitting is a male. I hope this will continue, but I also know that they may get distracted and leave the keets in their quest to hunt. So far the guinea hasnt left the house, unless she has left them with surrogate hens to care for them. I have seen them eat and drink. I must say it is so adorable to watch those keets and the guineas care for them.
