South Carolina

I am terribly disappointed........................ I went to the Irmo Tractor Supply for egg cartons and all they had was styrofoam. I want the cardboard cartons, and they said they hadn't had them in quite some time and didn't know if they'd carry them again. The website indicates that all three TSC in this area are out.

I hate the idea of ordering them on line because, although the pricing per carton is good, I'd pay 3X the cost of the cartons in shipping.

Is there a southern coop near you. They have the ones you want and cheaper.

Hi! Just checking to see if there are any chicken newbies near Easley/Anderson/Greenville. We are just getting started and have 10 Buff Orpingtons and 4 Moyer chicks right now. :)

Does anyone near the upstate have any jersey giants or americaunas for sale? Also I have two Cornish hens about a month old I want to trade or get rid of. If anyone is interested please let me know.

I would really love to add a blue or green egger or two to my flock. Ameraucauna, Araucana, mixed easter/olive egger, whatever. Pullets or hens only this year. I'm near Spartanburg, and don't want to travel far with the kids (30 minutes is about the limit before the puking starts, haha).

We have 3 golden comets, 3 tetras tints, 2 silver laced cochins (I think), 1 partridge cochin, 1 splash cochin, a silver spangled hamburg, and a white sultan. I am finishing the coop & run today for my 4.5 week olds. Will they be okay to go in it today and stay the night with the chilly overnight lows the rest of the week? Should I rig a heat lamp for them? They only have a little fluff left on them - almost fully feathered. There are 6, so they could snuggle (tetras and comets). Lows in the 40s here tonight.

Hello all! It's been about 3 years, but I'm back :) ATM we have 3 free range chickens 1 hen, 2 roos. They are all we have left, but I want to get some eggs to incubate. We are in southern Greenville.
