My birds are starting to molt....seems early to me. Anyone else already in molting season?

Yes, there are several swaps going on. One was in Laurens last Sat and one is in Grey Court this coming Sat. and another one in Dacusville the next Sat. They are getting in full swing now!

The one this Sat will be at Carolina Growers Group (butcher shop). Google map it. It is not far out of Woodruff off of Hwy 101.

My birds have molted and are finishing up. Birds molt due to their hatch, not the weather.

I can't remember the date for Newberry. It is farther than I want to drive from Spartanburg but I know the one in Dacusville is Oct 3.

In a previous comment you posted u said the grey court poultry swap meet was on September 28 which is a Monday. I'm confused.

Hi everyone! I am looking forward to the farm swap on Sept 28 down in Grey Court! I hope to see you all there at the Carolina Growers Group and buy some awesome meat from the butcher shop. I will be bringing some of my beauties to sell!

Darn I missed the swap in Laurens. And I could have taken several!

I still have the Araucana rooster you sold me Way-Back-When! He has given me many lovely pullets, that of course all laid beautiful blue or green eggs, depending on what their momas were.

I really need to check in more often to see what is going on in my own state.
