I know the feed store you bought from, and it's an Easter Egger, but those are good birds. There are several people near you that sell many different breeds, including standard bred Ameraucanas, if you ever decide you want more.
I just hatched a batch of cuckoo marans, which are similar to Dominiques

Should have some blue Easter egger out of our blue eggs
Mixed color Easter egger out of our green eggs
And some lavender orps.

Sounds like a lot of Greenvillian's here. I guess now we are Swamp Rabbits?

I am trying to avoid chicken math for another year, but we would like to add a few Barred Rocks or similar to our GLW's down the road. I want to stagger my laying years since we can only have 8 birds maximum.

We got our first chickens 6 months ago. 25 of them in the mail everyone told me I was crazy for doing that. They told me I would lose more than half. We only lost 4 and then we got 10 more for the feed store down the road and only lost one of those. They have started laying and some have started to hatch now. With the new little ones hatching we are up to 37 now. Don't really know what to do with the one hatching, don't real need them right now. My wife said we should sale them, but I don't know how much and we are not sure we're to advertising them for sale at. Still new to all this. Any ideas.
