Temporarily on hold, as are coop upgrades, family in town until the 5th, ugh... I'll post pics when back on track.

Girls are going to start laying soon, I'm hoping to have all upgrades done on the left side coop, next week. Rethinking gravity water system, for direct pressure, girls haven't figured out the cups, so I'll move hanging waterers from coop to run, I can add ice to in summer, and medicate when needed.

I really don’t want to, but I’m afraid I’m going to have to sell my 6 ISA Brown girls and the coop I built. I originally started this project because my father passed away before he could get them for my mother. I wanted her to be able to think of him when he saw them.

The chicks were purchased from TSC on March 30, 2016. It’s been a fun little project, but the investment and continuing upkeep heavily outweighs the benefits. I can’t justify the cost anymore.

All 6 chickens are in good health with one going through a big molt as of 12/24/17.

The coop cost about $800 to build (built 4’x6’ with two 2”x4” roosts, two egg boxes, and pressure treated ground contact 4”x4” posts holding it off the ground).

I guess the bottom line is I’d take $20 or best offer per chicken and $700 or best offer on the coop. The coop and chicken buyer would be responsible for pickup and hauling away as I don’t have the resources to do so. I have a feed pipe, watering system, unused leg bands and other supplies that I’d throw in for free if the buyer wanted them.

I also have a 7’x7’x4’ run/enclosure I’d sell for $125 or best offer.

All sales final, no returns. Everything sold as is.

I’ll try to attach pictures so y’all can see what I have to offer. I’ll add pictures upon request as well.

Sorry for your loss. I thoroughly understand the demands, raising chickens entails. How're y'all doing with this cold? Frozen waterer's driving me crazy.

I managed to pick up a tin-waterer warming tray and so far it's been keeping their water liquid.
Now if I can just do something about their poop!

I had to pick up a warming base for our waterer too. Actually, I think their poop is a lot easier to clean when it's frozen lol!

Lol, I ordered heated waterers, and by the time they arrive, it'll be above freezing. Poop's definitely easier to clean up in these frozen temps, no complaint there.

Think I may of asked before, does anyone use sand in their coop, instead of litter?
