Awww, I am close to Chucktown and would LOVE to help you out. But I've got nothing, nada, zip, zero.

The kids are not cooperating right now.
The Delaware Blue Hens aren't laying at all and the BBS Ameraucanas haven't quite started yet. Any day now I should be getting blue eggs though.

Are you going to be in the downtown area? Staying at/in????

BTW everyone, FABULOUS pics! Thanks for the postings of them, it's so lovely when it's all covered in our rare snows!

Thanks for the responses sugarhill farm and ranchhand
To answer R's question - I'm staying at the Embassy Suites Hotel in downtown Charleston.

Off to hug my girls (feathered and human) and pack.. 6am flight out of here. That means 3:30 am wakeup.. UGH

(I'll be watching this thread if anyone thinks they can help with said request!)

Well, I would say I could sell you something but I am afraid I am a long way from Charleston. Not that I wouldn't love to visit but somehow I don't think that will happen right now. Warm days have me outside repairing everything I have put off for the past few months.

Anyhow, I have lots and lots of hatching eggs from several different breeds but no way to get them to you down there. Charleston is a 4 hr drive for me.

Wow, my girls aren't cooperating either, and they have no excuse - heated coop and supplemental lighting! Will you have a laptop with you while you're in Charleston? When will you be leaving Charleston to go back home? Not being nosey, just want to know if I could get you some eggs while you're here, in case my girls decide to be good again!

And I think my flight out is around 3pm Friday. Or something like that.. I might want to look at some point, I was going to look Thursday..

ETA: And if it wasn't company money/rental car, I would totally drive 4 hours. Unfortunately I think that they would frown on that

I am in Columbia. My hen house/chicken yard should be finished tomorrow.

I am now actively looking for 12 pullets, although I realize that I may have to buy chicks.
Ideally, I would like

2 partridge Wyandottes (we know there is a breeder in SC because we met him at a poultry show in Orangeburg last December (2008)
1 blue-laced red Wyandotte
1 buff-laced Wyandotte
1 golden-laced Wyandotte
1 silver-penciled Wyandotte OR 1 Brown Porcelain Wyandotte
2 Speckled Sussex
2 Ameraucanas
2 Wheaten Marans

Can anyone help me locate ethical, reputable breeders of *show* chickens?

Thanks so much!

Well, we got a fella here in Salley who raises champeen RIR's. His name is Gary and hes on BYC, although I cant recall his SN.

But everybody else around here I know has *just* chickens.
(Although a few claim to have "dominikkers.")

I have Wheaten Marans but only chicks for sale. I am still hatching anything they spit out though.
I have a splash BLRW pullet for sale. Can't use her in my breeding program.
I could sell one of my GLW hens, if you want one of the few that I have here.
I have a large hatch of Olive Eggers but that is as close as I come to the Ameraucanas. EE hens with a Marans roo produced these chicks.

Check out my website to see if anything else interests you. I do not have everything listed on my for sale page because it seems I sell it as soon as I list it so I can't seem to keep up.
