I AM GETTING D'UCCLES!!!!!!!!!

And I get to meet the LEGEND THAT IS AMY!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey I got my bator today...wonder if Amy has eggs!!LMAO!!

Eggs? Yes, Amy Nadine has eggs.

I could not set them all last night because Teddi sent me 18 more d'Uccle eggs

so I set them and left some of my others out. I have Frizzle eggs, Mille Fleur bantam Cochin project eggs, Silkie eggs, and maybe Sizzle eggs. I don;t know, I have about 30 ready to be set and have set my last ones for the year.
I mean it this time! Really! I won't set more, I won't, I won't! You can't make me!

Oh yeah, when you see my black eye, just ignore it. Me and the water jug hook got into a fight. I meant to explain that to Robin, too. Although it looks worse now than the other day. I swear DH did not hit me. If he had we would be attending his funeral. I can pretty much hold my own......you should see the water hook now!

I forgot to tell you all that the Workday Chicken website used one of my photos yesterday. It was kinda cute. Some days the ones they use and the lines they put with it make me laugh out loud. It's good for the soul!

Okay.... so how did the meet up at Amy Nadine's go? I hope everyone had a blast!

We went to the Agri Fair here in Greenwood. I was really looking forward to seeing the animals and especially the chickens. Unfortunately.... not one animal. Not one. There were a bunch of overweight stinky people though. On the positive side, my kids enjoyed the rides and we got some cotton candy. Live and learn. I WON'T be going next year.

I just love this weather. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!

I was checking in to see how the Amy Nadine meet-up went, also. I'm sure there will be some interesting stories out of this one!
We had happy girls today. They were able to be out of the run for their longest time yet. They were well-behaved and will definitely be able to do this again. Getting them back in was a breeze. I had some dried mealworms. Harriet, the Ameraucana, was eating them at first and then the others started eating them too. I then took the mealworms in the run and they followed right behind me. I'll remember that trick!
Added a new layer of litter to their coop and cleaned up the run a little. They are going to feel spoiled now.

OK EVERYONE...operation Amy Nadine meet was a huge sucess!! I just got my millie trio and white pair (both D'uccles) all tucked in along with my Moms chickies!!(THANKS NELLA AND Co.)!! I will post pics tomorrow and I came home with plenty of great eggs to load my new bator!! Her BLRWs are the most super rich deep blue...a must to see!!! I am super pooped as mom,kids,and I made it an all day shopping event! I did good and only came home with what I went to pick up...if you dont count the eggs!! Of course Amy is low on selling birds right now for the breeds I am working but I have picked my future birds out!!Hehehe
