Amy, Welcome back. We are the enablers there are several chicken people not too far from Boiling Springs. I am up in Gaffney. Chickens are so much fun.

ok im new at this but here goes we live in turbeville sc. have mostly leghorns but we just started raising a few mixed polish man those birds are hilarious who would have thought chickens could have personalitys lol
 
Rock Hill SC here! Proud parents of 11 pullets that just started laying, 2 young roos and 3 elderly white rock hens. The roos are one RIR and 1 EE, our pullets are 1 white rock, 3 RIR, 1 jersey giant, 2 new hampshire reds, 2 barred rocks (my favorites), and 2 australorp .

Hi Amy! I sent you a PM with some info of a guy I bought some black jersey giants from. He was great and has other breeds as well.

Hey all! I've posted a few times on this thread, but not in a while. We're about 20 mins. south of Simpsonville, so not too far from you, Jackie, or you, Amy! I'm pleased with our McMurray stock so far, but I want to go local next time we buy any chicks, so it's good to hear local people that either are sources themselves or know other local sources. My kids are already wanting silkies and who am I to say no? But that will be in the future, if all of ours do ok and lay well, then we will be swimming in eggs this winter! We do want our own chicks so it would be great to have a broody silkie or two.

I just wish there were more swap meets for people like us:D somthing within driving distance like florence or sumter.
