Well, I'm super excited yet again. The polishxsilkies I am getting are now not the only thing being sent my way.

The breeder messaged me and said someone backed out on a full polish and another polishxsilkie and she will put them in the box that is being shipped out no extra charge!!! And the pure polish is a laced/frizzle pullet.

This is a bad photo I'm sure, but it's a super neat looking polish.

Hi again....

Yes, I have yet to introduce the family.
My girls are 4 Araucanas, which I haven't named. I tease my kids and mother-in-law that their names will be Stew, BBQ, Chicken Bog and Pot Pie. Before I get boos and sneers.....I am joking.

My sweetheart is a Red Star that I call BusyBee since she goes everywhere I go in the run. I mean everywhere. This is the only one I will sneak out and take for walks around the yard since whenever I walk to her, she sits down. I am sure there is a proper term for what she is doing. It is almost like she goes submissive when I reach for her.

My youngest son's favorite is Goldie, a big Buff Orpington and my wife loves our Black Austro because of the way the feathers change. We just call her Blackie and she kisses my fingers whenever I stick them near her beak. By kiss....I mean she tries to treat my fingers like a grub. I shouldn't tease her but it is "our thing" together.

I am also partial to my Barres Rock who I have named Checky due to the feather colors.

We have had our girls since April and are now starting the egg process. I was SHOCKED to learn that my biggest egg comes from BusyBee, (red star) since I related hen size to egg size.

Anyway, thanks for welcoming me SC people and I just want to let on that I have a goofy sense of humor, love reading the posts and am the type of person that knows that we all are different, like our chickens, in personality which makes us all individuals.

Hey..this makes my 10th post! What do I win??

Welcome to the SC thread. There are a lot of very friendly and helpful people here. I'm sure you'll feel right at home. And yes, those red sex links are great layers! I just shocked a chicken customer with their eggs today. He couldn't believe the size of the egg and that it came from one of my smallest chickens.

So good to hear about your birds! Not all mine have names either so don't feel bad. It sounds like you have a great group of ladies there and they will give you lots of great eggs in the future, I am sure. My red sex links lay huge eggs, too. They are pretty much up there with my Jersey Giants which is amazing considering their body size but those Leghorns are built slender and give lots of huge eggs. What a shame they are white. Love my red sex links though!

And with your 10th post.....you win the grand prize of having all of us for your chickeneering friends!

OMG! I almost drooled all over my key board with that cutie patootie! I wanted to kiss that adorable chicky baby belly so bad. Alas, I gaze from afar. No...wait! I can go grab one of my cuties out of the house brooder and kiss them some more. But yours is terrifically cute!
