How on earth would you know? Not being a smarty alek...just wondering? Maybe you can help with my 4 that I call baby girls being HOPEFUL...but I fear they are ALL roos...LOL...??? They are from 2 out of 4 hens and one roo that are all between 3 and 5 years that were "dropped off" in my back yard back in late July and I let one hen that went broody hatch out a combined clutch that started with 11 eggs and these 4 hatched and I "took" them after 1 week fearing they would be as wild as the rest...they free roam...BUT NOT THESE...LOL

I don't really...just all of ours that have done like that little one have been roos! They always seem to fall asleep in our hands - especially when DD is holding them.

OK wait I just remembered...........I have had ONE pullet do that...but that pullet also does the "rooster dance" for me. She just is not normal

Guess me wanting her to be a roo has confused her

So here goes hoping I get even a 25% hatch rate this time around with my eggs!! This crazy drop in temperature is making things difficult for me. Woke up this morning (my husband totally changed the house temp lower) and my eggs were down to 98. Arg!!!! I candled some and I am afraid some have died. I can see blood vessels that look like they've busted and are creating a blood ring. This is so frustrating.
