Patsy,
You have a cockeral chick and a pullet chick. The photos 2, 3 and 4 are all of the same chick.

Thanks Amy...so you think the 2 "blacks" are one of each...last night something was "up" with the site and postings were doubling and posting weird and incomplete...there was something about it on the home site...anyway if you look back there are a couple posts with all 4 chicks...I am excited you think the second "blackish colored chick is a pullet...because I think the other two that were born yellow and not black both look feminine...LOL

Joy, I just couldn't resist and candled the eggs today--it is not looking good. I put 2 silkies eggs in the day after yours and I see veins all through them but nothing in the OEGBs. There might be something happening in the Wyandotte egg though.... I will wait until closer to the hatch date to get real bummed.

OK just wondering what you guys think...Both chicks are BluJGxBR I'm pretty sure the black one is a pullet and the Blue one is a roo?? Whatcha think? 3months old? and if the Blue is a Roo Who wants it.??? It was chicken raised so it will only come close for treats other than that For get a bout it.....

If this is the post you mean then you will notice all the photos say the same thing and are all numbered 013. If there are others then please point me to them as I can't find them and I will help you identify them. Or re-post them and I will do my best to tell you boy or girl.

On thing I can tell you, if you have any with black combs, those often will be girls.

Also there are chicks with eyeliner around the eyes and a trail coming off the eye making a strip on the side of the head. Boys have the stripe coming from the middle of the eye and the girls have the stripe coming from under the eye.

Hatch as many chicks as I have and you eventually notice some things that stick with you. Although I often am one that does not look very close because as soon as my hopes are up for a "special" chick, it somehow commits suicide or dies due to someone not having gas for the generator.

Yancy, the one in front is a boy, the one in back looks like a girl.

He is a handsome dude! I can just imagine the chicks he would produce! Crossed with recessive white or light Columbian girls he would make some awesome chicks!
