South Carolina

It's going to rain all week in greenville! Garden will love it...but my chooks are not! Do your chickens like the rain? I find mine hiding under the deck or dashing back to the coop...poor little birds.

I keep mine confined to the coop & run. They don't seem to care about the rain and their scratching is extra destructive when its wet. I'm trying to get the grass to grow back on the slope around their enclosure. My former flock of RIRs had them beat though - they loved the rain and getting wet. When I'd fill their waterer they wanted me to spray them. I swear they were part duck.

I do love the rain but I really wanted to get some things done outside. Every other hour or so when it slows down, I'll run out and do a quick task and then run back inside. UGH....How about I love the rain Monday through Friday while I'm stuck at work anyway

I'm sitting at my desk right now annoyed as can be that it's only overcast outside today. Guaranteed by the time I get off if work it will then be rainy! Greenville, AKA: Little Seattle

Its a little premature BUT.......
The "Anderson Bantam Club" is eager to host 2014 ASBC Silkie Nationals and has submitted their proposal. From personal experience I find shows put on by Anderson Bantam Club to be neat, well organized, and at a great location. **The shows are held at the T. Ed Garrison Arena in South Carolina. It is an awesome facility, and is equidistant to Charlotte and Atlanta (120). http://www.clemson.edu/public/garrison/
Any and all support via showing your interest in said location would be greatly appreciated.
