Yea, I'll be taken the one back. Had to use the other one. I guess it just makes me mad that stores sell junk. That would be like me selling rotten eggs to somebody.

Contact the corporate office and let them know exactly why you are not pleased with this store. Make sure you have the store number (it's on your receipt) so those high-falutin' corporate managers can investigate the problem.

Exact same thing happened to me last time I bought pine flakes at TSC. I purchased 6 and only found two that looked/felt dry, so I had 4 refunded. I get home and the 2 were wet and moldy in the middle! I used them as mulch instead of returning them. I'm giving the one in Greer one more chance since it's on my way to my mom's today. I need to find a Southern States in Greenville. I tried finding one on the way to my mom's in Spartanburg a couple months back, off Asheville Hwy, but the directions on their website took me to an equipment rental place. Very strange.

TSC always has bags of shaving out in front of the store out in the weather which is why we don't buy it there. and we use mostly flock raiser PELLETS and they only keep crumbles, so we go to Colemans farm supply on 101. they keep the pellets in for us and one other customer.

Had our first snake incident of the year...caught a black rat snake in the act of killing a month old turkey poult. Normally if I just see snakes in the yard it is a catch and release at the pond situation, as I do not mind reptiles at all (I have a pet rat snake hybrid actually, he's a doll) but once they start killing my birds I have no qualms about letting our dogs do their job. I love Luke's big cheesy grin.

We also had a fox incident a couple of nights ago. A red fox attacked our tom turkey at about 3:00 in the morning, which woke us up, and we were able to scare it off. The turkey was too wounded to be saved (his neck was basically crushed), so we used his meat for the dogs. Needless to say our primary objective now is to bring Mr. Fox to justice. Kota is staying out all night now, and we are going to use several types of traps to try and catch the wily fox. I'm not entirely sad about the loss of the tom (didn't particularly like him) because we have a ton of poults growing up, I'm sure there are several toms in that group.

As long as my darling silkies stay safe in their fortress, I won't be devastated. Yes, I play favorites with my chickens

The Colemans have always treated me right. I always make a point to go in there even if it's only to smell the leather.

I've had a fox come to the fence line and try to get in twice. I put smelly sweaty t's on the fence and haven't seen it back in over a month. Hopefully that works.
