Nooooooo, no snow! Rain I can deal with. Ugh, no more snow.

I am so enjoying the pictures! My eight year old is dying for Sebrights, but I think I want Seramas. . . hmmm, can't choose, maybe we'll just do both

Kelly-I love the Sebrights too.. But For now I love the BIG girls!!!!

I love all these pics. I tried to pose mine but boy do you have to be quick. Juliette I love the regalness of your birds. Now as far as the rain/snow goes for this weekend...NOOOOOOOO I refuse to see that white stuff again...once a year is enough. By the way Lisa yes I did ride my horse in it and it still is magical! DH worked on the runs today and all the girls were out there making sure he did it right...I cleaned coops and nest boxes and put out new hay for them..I am about done in!

I am not sure we will see snow this coming weekend but we will see it again this winter.
We used to ride out horses in the snow every year. I loved it. I had to keep my horses in condition as I was always doing Endurance and shows so snow was just another day, just more cautious.

The rain last Sat. was not too bad. Made a muddy mess to slip and slide through but at least it was warm! I have got to finish my duck pens and just can't seem to get there! I am almost through building the little duck coop and then I can pull the wire but I have started another 60x60 pen and am still thinking about what type of coop to build for that area.

Okay Nadine you can have more snow this winter in the upstate but no more for the midlands! Funny thing about pens...hubby asked yesterday as he was finishing the run...so this is the last run, right? I think I mumbled something but I am sure it was not of course! I figure runs are like horse stalls...you think you have enough when all of a sudden you realize you need 1 more

Okay dokey, I will take your snow! LOL I don't mind it too much as long as you take all the wind! I can't stand for the wind to blow. As soon as I set a jug down to fill it with water it blows away and if I am able to hold it to fill with water then the water gets blown away and I am standing there over the jug with water coming out of the hose at a 90 degree angle!

My horse would love to have his stall back! I took over the barn for the chickens and all the stalls have been used for ducks, chickens, grow out pens, some unruly house cats and a junk area that I want to convert to a new designed brooder room. Poor little stud muffin! He feels quite neglected anymore!

It's no wonder he is occasionally seen trying to stomp the chickens.

And I think one of the cats scared Yancy the other day when he came out to give me yet another present. If anyone gets the chance to meet Yancy, he is a hoot and totally fun to talk chickens with. Maybe he is just learning but you can tell he devotes a lot of time to his girls! They sound very spoiled and fun to watch.
