Now it's time to go play with the new Baby Blue JG's!!!!!! I have given the ample time to adjust. Oh and Amy I really think they are all girls, well the reason I say that is because I sat and watched them last night and any time they where awake they all had their butts in the air scratching and pecking...Now I am know chicken pro but doesn't this ususally mean Hen?!? And Amy do you think you of them could be a Splash? one of the three is alot lighter in color than the other two.!!! HAPPY all the way!

Isn't it exciting to have things in the bator? I have 100 eggs in my 2 Rcom King Suro 20's. Which is about 60 more than they're supposed to hold! I got a little crazy buying eggs. But I figure some of them will not candle and that will whittle it down. Plus... don't tell my husband... but I ordered a Hovabator 1588 for any extra that need lockdown. I obviously can't hatch that many in my little ole bators! Good gracious... even sick, I'm feeding my chicken addiction!

Did I mention that almost 40 of them are Lav Ameraucanas? I'm so excited!

Hey yall!!! Well ive been enjoying this weather all week and working this weekend.
John ..... excellant grow up pen AA+++ I built 1 a bit smaller 3x3x6 late friday and havent been able to get a pic yet (been dark) the only problem that ive had is that every cat and dog around has tryed to get my babies. Yep saturday the neighbors labs wanted to dig and gave us the f-u attitude and said that they would let their dogs out and loose any time they wanted to and we couldnt do nothing to them cause they wouldnt be any proof that they bothered the chickies. So I dont really want to hurt or wound a neighbors animal cause I wouldnt want them hurting mine so I did some thinking and came up with a plan......ELECTRIC FENCE yep I went to lowes an bought a 10 acre electric fence controller and wire and wired it up and let the shocking begin. I was at work when the dogs came back and rushed the pen......so my dw tells me that they got zapped good!!!!

Ive got 14 eggs in the bator that go into lock down on the 2/28 and are due the 3/3 then IM TAKING A BREAK from hatching Im going fishing!!!!

I have seen dogs get into our electric fence at the farm and can imagine the surprise it was to those dogs!
