South Carolina

Charleston is my favorite place to visit in SC! I love the history! Mine and the beautiful city's! LOL

So I am VERY happy it has rained and washed away all the gd pollen but now my pastures are flooded, my horses look like giant mud balls and my english springer spainel is OBSESSED with mud!! Besides all that, my chickies and Poof are growing like weeds! Poof had it's first bath the other day and now gets one every few days. Still haven't let them have any grass time yet and had planned on it this week but with all the rain....put that plan on hold.

Are the chickens as good as keeping bugs off of gardens as they are in horse pastures? I am planning a small garden and wondered how they would be with the bugs on the plants.

Hubby has spent hours on adding the run to the coop! I decided that the best way to help him is to keep the kids away from him, otherwise I would have pictures

Oh they will keep the bugs off of the garden, they will eat your vegetables, they will eat your plants and then they will "till" up the garden spot for you - and they'll probably do all of that in about 2 days time!

You need some guineas for your garden spot, if you want to have the vegetables for yourself.
