They are so adorable! Nothing sweeter than a mama and babies.
I finally pulled the chicks out of the Frizzle coop because it has been 4 days and I have not seen the hens bring them out yet. They may do it but I don't see it since it is a coop far enough away from everything that I only go in once a day. I put the chicks up to the waterer outside the coop yesterday and they drank and I put them on the floor of the coop and they ate a tiny bit but went right back and jumped in the nest box with the two hens who are still sitting on some eggs, too.
I left them a while ago showing the chicks around the pen, pecking at some grass and bugs they are finding under the tall grass. I will check on them again in a bit to make sure they made it back into the coop. I can't believe how well new chicks can hop up a 4" door sill. I forgot what eggs I put under those hens. I think just Sizzle and Frizzle.
Oh! And the ducklings under the Silkies must be at least part Runner. They are standing up pretty tall!
