I think I need (notice I said need not want hehe) more hens. My rhode island red tried to mount a ten week old pullet this morning and she is only half his size. It was a pathetic sight. I now know what my roosters issue is though. He's a hormonal young guy!!!!

I have a 2:1 pullet to cockerel ratio I think at the moment so I definitely need less boys and more girls.

Off topic of chickens but due to my Migraines I need to really cut back my animals and focus on less species. I was breeding gerbils for a while and have about a dozen that are free to good homes. I can't find time to clean up their cages and care for chickens, dogs, cats, etc while also battling a migraine that lasts 12 hours twice a week! I have a tame rat too and as I mentioned before a breeding pair of ringneck doves. All of them are free to good homes and I can post photos of them. Gerbils are also colorful (Siamese pied, white, silver, etc) and various ages. Some were born in late march. If I can't find homes I'm taking them to the local petshop for them to rehome. I'll be upset but I don't have time for them and need to get to a specialist soon. I've even had to miss the last couple dog shows I take my dogs to because of my evil brain!

Haha I just read the do not discuss post so I'm going to talk about the weather now~ It's so HOT!!!!!! and the darn chickens ate my tomato plants

it is toooooooooo hot.

I sat in a hunting blind yesterday evening waiting on that stupid wolf dog. DH shot him couple weeks ago, but the scope was off, so he hit him but did not kill him. We lost his blood trail.

In the woods, something got on me. It was 10pm and dark so I never saw what it was. But it caused an allergic reaction (no surprise there

) So I got to spend 3+ hours in the ER last night. Gotta call Doctor today and get epi-pen refilled. Luckily this time it was just severe pain & hives & nausea. No breathing problems. I know it wasn't an ant because of no breathing problems or facial swelling. ER doc did not think a spider ... but some type of bee sting. 5 of them!

Feeling better this morning, so I have got to get a few things done. Like laundry.

I definately know how those are!

Where in the state are you? I will see if I can find anyone wanting any animals.

I am in Sumter. I'd feel better about finding them homes then them going to the pet shop. But if it boils down to it I will probably take them next weekend to the pet store.
