Moonchild, I am sorry about NaddyBlue. We have had a some what up and down time here this week. My one polish pen came down with Cocci and it was pretty touch and go for a few day. We even ended up giving some Sulmet treated water, as they were not drinking. I was so happy today to go out this morning and see most of the occupants in that pen run up to the door asking for food. I have one other splash cochin that was running loose come down with it too--odd since free range usually avoid getting it. She is back up and eating today. I bet a non-chicken person would think me nuts it they saw me in the polish pen or any of the other pens walking around in the morning looking at chicken "poop"!
My DH helped me put some metal roofing on top of the polish pen yesterday too! When the storm went through here today their pen stayed pretty dry and so did they!
Here is to wishing you all good luck getting your babies through this time of year and that stage when they are so susceptible to so much including cocci!!!
