I did....tell her that I would NOT feel comfortable adding her to my breeding flock. I no longer have the bird. She was given to a nice lady "for free" whom plans to use the eggs for Pysanky.

Now that is odd - would the lady doing Pysanky possibly be named Amy? I had a customer who brought me the most beautiful egg. That's a very unusual hobby. Just wondering as it sure seems to be a small world in the chicken community.

Oh my gosh Yancy - are you okay? That sounds awful. We hydroplaned once on I-85 and it nearly scared the daylights out of me. My husband was driving and I was 8 months pregnant. I understand the slow motion thing. Very soon after that I traded my little mazda in for a jeep. Was this Friday? My husband was driving in that and saw many vehicles in the median. Must have been a bad storm. Take care of yourself.

Oh and by the way, I have blue polish eggs in the bator! I'll let you know what I get.

I'm so excited about them.

Joycats it was Saturday about 8:30 I was trying to get home to make sure momma hen put the babies up, and if anybody wants to see the damage I did to 85 right before/or after on the north bound lane at the number 9 exit Thanks Stella for keeping me safe. Well momma hen put herself and the babies into the growup pen and my middle chickens had to roost in the soon to be polish palace. And Yes JoyCats the slow motion think is way scary, and now I get the flashbacks of it and then get all upset again...
OH JoyCats BLUE POLISH EGGS!!!! You made my Day!Please keep me informed! Sounds Awesome!

If we can use the proper word for a male chicken, can we not also use the proper Word for a female dog?

just asking

Robert

because they go in and change it to grumpy... took me a min to figure out what I had written then figured it out they changed the word... apparently some people dont know the true meaning of the word..

oh have a funny story about the word B**ch... Morgan was probably 4 or 5, young though.. we were at a show and she was really intent on watching and listening to the judge and people,,, and she turned and very seriously asked me..
"Why is that man being mean to that dog?" I asked what do you mean? " he keeps calling her a bad name?" I said, oh he's not being mean, that is the real word for a girl and a boy is called a dog... she took it all in .. the next class she was playing judge herself and came up with ( this is true)... " Shes a wonderful bi* tch , she carries her tail Gay'ly, yes a very nice B*tch indeed."

Ya got to love kids.. and what they come up with...

Neat! I am very new to showing. I took my jacks to theirs and my first show in March. They're better at racing and lure coursing. Hahaha. It doesn't help when their handler aka me is inexperienced.
