Too funny...my ringtone is my lil self blue banty!!!! I get really funny looks in public and I just proudly say"Thats actually MY Rooster...he is a whopping ten inches tall" Love the even worse looks that gets!!!

Okay a while back I posted in the breeds forum asking about self blue bantams and I was told no one kept them because the are poorly bred /bad feathering/etc...? I asked on here if any one had them to no reply....not mad about that just wondering what others ment by poor breed/bad feathers and such...I love my pair and I got them from the guy at anderson jockey lot, they are very healthy, and I fell in love at first sight,my little hen is sooo tiny and sweet and my roo is hilarious! I want another hen or two and was hoping to find some not from him to get a mix of bloodline but looks like I am going to anderson sunday to see what he has...Please if any of you know more about this breed I would love some reliable local info!!!!

What kind of bantams do you have? I love my LF cochins, but I have Mille Fleurs which are bantam size and the sweetest things too! Working on getting some bantam mottled cochin eggs, but I must be patient

I have self blue olde english...my roo is my profile pick and if you look she is behind him...he is at his tallest 10 inches...my hen looks like a tiny grey dove, she is so pretty...I hope to breed them! So far no eggs though and I have had them for a month but she is starting to get redder around the eyes( she really has no comb?) so I hope it will be soon...I think she needs another hen friend her size because they are in with my silkies and although there is no picking she is nervous of them(they are more than double her size) and I think that may be part of it all,she is tiny and all alone! They do not mess with her but she stays far away even though her roo pals with them.

If not many people have them, then perhaps you can work with them and improve them yourself. A quick search on google brought up a couple of breeders. If nothing else you should be able to go to the Old English Game Bantam Club of America's website and visit the forum to find information about your little guys. You should be able to find breeders of self blue there as well.

I didn't know what you were talking about! I was wondering what breed. The only self-blue (lavender) bantams I have are silkies. I don't think you meant those cuties. Hope you get an answer!
