Not exactly, much smaller. But it has those chipmunk stripes on the face. It's only 2 inches tall so I'm leaning towards a bantam chick of some kind. I first thought pheasant but they would be bigger like a keet, right?

Symphony,

What breed is your cockerel? And how old? I would love a roo but have to wait and see if one of my 6wk-olds turns out to be... it's kinda looking that way.

Hey folks,

I have six 6wk-old pullets and am falling in love with the easter egger, which will be going to my mom when she's grown.

I'm not particularly fond of the Australorps (I got an extra) and would be interested in trading for an easter egger that's ~6wks.

If anyone has one or knows of someplace I might find, please let me know! I'm in the Clemson area but willing to drive pretty much anywhere in a 2hr radius. Thanks!!!

Welcome to the thread, BlazeJester!

Sorry I can't help you. I don't want an Australorp. Not that they are not wonderful but I am trying to only collect dark egg layers and colored eggs layers from now on. DH says I have too many tan or light brown layers.

Honestly, folks don't seem to care too much. I had a customer come today and get 10 dz chicken eggs and I like to show her all the pretty colors but she doesn't really care. Her kids like to see them but they are more interested in eating them than looking at them. They could all be tan and they would still buy them.
Now my neighbor loves the blue and green eggs and would like his 2 dz a week to be only that, though his wife says he really does not know when she cooks a certain color. He swears the blues are much better!
