Just remember, any of us who have set eggs have had plenty of failed experiences, bad eggs and times we may want to throw in the towel.
But never fear! You can try again and again until it is so easy you are doing it in your sleep. And believe, I have had times when it took a strong light in my eyes to wake me up and remember what I was doing!

I pull out a tray, candle them, slide it back in and pull out another, candle them.....
Gosh, I may miss that this winter.

Try not to worry yourself to death! I swear when I had eggs in the bator I would just sit there and watch them like they were gonna do something lol It is soo cool when they start hatching though!

The biggest thing is to regulate the incubator BEFORE putting eggs in there and then don't mess with it. The temp will drop everytime you open it and especially when you add eggs but resist the urge to turn that temp knob. It may take 8 hours or more to raise the temp back up after adding eggs but just be patient. The hardest thing to do is leave it alone but that's what you must do for it to work. Good luck!!

THANKS...I got it all set and then I taped a piece of plastic over the knob(i have an old cat who tends to lay on things and I have it in a closed room but JIC!!) I dont plan on touching temp and I am rolling my eggs myself...maybe a bad choice but I wanted to be somewhat hands on!! It dropped to 91 but that was at 6 and it is already back up to 97!! It hasnt been past 99(and has been steady 99 all day) since last night( hi/lo thermo) and my lowest before egg set was 97!! I am pleased with that!! My humidity is pretty steady in the low 40s so I think we are ready to rock and roll!! THANKS for all the support and advice...I need it all!! I may need constant reminders to be patient ,calm, and dont touch!!

whew!!This is gonna be a long 21 days!
