I am happy knowing you will be working on improving the Mottleds and I will be begging for eggs or chicks before too long. You see I need to improve my breeding pen......because someone keeps taking my most gorgeous girls!

I hope the little fella you lost wasn't the best one. And I so hope you have an extra boy for me later.
I feel I got a good deal though as my lovely new white d'Uccle is simply gorgeous and I love Cowgirl already. I never thought I wanted blue Mottleds but I know with Cowgirl and the other little blue Mottled girl growing up I may be able to work them into many of my breeding programs.

I wind up with such good girls from you because you show me ALL of them and then let me pick out the one I want! LOL. I'm not stupid, I pick the best ones

I was looking at the young boys this morning.......one of them that has been very slow to feather...he still getting his shoulder feathers in all the way...anyways, he is REALLY WHITE. Like almost more white than black! He has white on his BACK already! I am excited to see how he turns out. He should be interesting!

Pretty sure this was him as a chick. He was way lighter than the rest.

Cowgirl has always been pretty sweet.....she used to just peep and coo the whole time you held her.


Well, I ended up staying at my friend's in NC. Went through her rabbitry and ended up with 3 more does. Since the blue was new to me also, I ended up with 4 new bunnies yesterday, although I sold one of my own. So net gain of 3! Plus the nekkid guinea pig, of course. But now I have 2 blue does and 2 black does.....next one I get will be a black buck, to go along with my blue buck.

ok yall its happened again..

I have a shelless egg.. that one of my girls laid on the roost tonight... and this time there is no yoke in it either.. what is wrong.. I dont know which one it is either.. its normal size..

is the hen that is doing this just really not ready to lay or what.. I am adding oyster shells in their food.. their feathers are slick as silk no worms.. no parasites.. healthy but this 2nd egg? weird.

I wouldn't mind a barred Holland, but I really want one of the original white ones. Some circles say it is extinct. I find it hard to believe.

X 2. I had quite a lot of shelless eggs, mini eggs, and double yolked eggs when my layer flock was young. Don't worry, they'll grow out of it.

I told Leah about you getting the Skinny and she just laughed and laughed. She said now you have to knit it a little sweater because it gets cold up in TN! She also wanted to make sure I showed you her pig named Tennessee and let you know she is a winner, bringing home many class blue ribbons. Never took BIS but she won against the other American pigs.

Your Lionheads are awesome! I have not seen any that good ever. It is neat you are getting into more colors but the ones you had here the other day are just really gorgeous. It is a shame we have slowed down in the shows so much lately but Leah is looking ahead and feels she doesn't have the time to breed more when she will be off to college in less then 2 years. I certainly am not going to do all that work they require! But they are adorable. We will see you at some shows in the next year but not as many as we used to make.
