Congrats FarmerJohn!

Amy, the sad part about the lionheads is that mine are the pet quality culls. Other than that blue doe....the rest are. I get my butt whooped at shows. But its a good time and once I get some of my own babies on the ground, I should improve a bit.

I threw away about 2 dozen cochin eggs yesterday. You would have DIED. LOL. I am going to start hatching off cowboys's girls in a couple weeks.....just need to get to where they won't hatch when I am at crossroads.

I have a guinea pig question! Do males get along? Could I get Pancho the guinea pig a male friend or will they fight?

I assume you mean daddy of a human child, not poultry. But to quote Seinfield, "Not that there's anything wrong with that!"

First time? Congratulations! BTW, on Good Morning America last week they said fathers have fewer heart problems than men without children. Just another good reason to be happy, lol.

It's okay Pink, a few "odd" eggs is normal for first time layers. It takes them a while to get the hang of it. I wouldn't worry about it. We still get the occasional jelly egg (not often but every once in a while). My boys fight over them.

They like to play with them, throw them or shoot them with the pellet gun. Finding the rare jelly egg is an exciting occasion on our farm.
