Hey everyone! Sorry long time no chat. Welcome to all the new people!!! Busy times, took a new job (now I only handle freight for UPS) so I've been busy. Lost a BLRW pullet last weekend to something but I swear she joined the circus. Did a Backyard Chickens booth at the Albino Skunk Fest and was a big hit, and I think it helped that I brought Elly the Silkie pullet. How adorable is this little girl? She just walked up to me and took her out of my hands bless her heart. They were best buds for about 30 mins.

Just an FYI to anyone, if you want a pair, I've got a pair ready to go of a black frizzle and smooth roo. I have another one but the frizzle went broody!!! They're goign with Amy to Morganton to be sold so if you wants pics, just PM me.

OH Jackie How sweet...Now if I would have brought my BigA$$ Rooster then we could have had cage matches!!! ...

I'm jealous! My DH definately is not hooked LOL...everytime I mention a new coop, he gives me a dirty look. This is probably why he's been dragging his feet about helping me finish the coop we're currently working on! You are lucky!!

Yeah, this guy is blue wheaten. So many folks have wanted him but I held him back. I should have just let you take him that day but I was worried I wasn't making the right choice at the time. he is totally gorgeous and out free ranging now. You should see how much he has grown since you were here. I will snap some photos this morning before the rain moves in.

Here are some of my blue wheatens and a few others growing up. They are pretty neat.

Yes, in this one you will see a Marans, an Olive Egger and Ameraucanas as they are all growing up in the same tractor.

This is the blue I am keeping. He got a bit wet from the morning dew but not as badly as his brother.

He got outside and got nasty before breakfast so his muffs and beard don't show up as well but this is the guy I am not keeping.

And now he has food in a wet beard! What a piglet.

I really like this Olive Egger I bred. Her coloring is right along with the wheaten Ameraucanas. I wondered if I could get any from breeding with what I know about genetics and I obviously got lucky and did what I wanted to do. I sold a ton of these chicks this year but held onto a few. This girl just happens to be in this grow up pen so I snapped some photos of her.

Albino Skunk Fest???

Yup its a great bluegrass festival in Greer, near Amys house. My first year attending and I will def. be back!

They have it every year and I have yet to go. It is about 4-5 miles form my place.
I like Bluegrass but too much loud noise gives me pounding headaches so I usually stay away from anything with much music. We went to the BarBQ festival one year and I came home sick with a headache. It probably isn't the music so much as the pitch of noise from speakers. I play loud music in my truck all the time. I love to rock out!

I have heard it is a great festival and Jackie probably had a total blast!
