That is great! I wondered if he would take up with the d'Uccles, too. And I know you said everyone was in the bathroom watching batorvision so I figured he was right there with you and the kids.
That is terrific!

Ooooohhhhh! They look awesome. How exciting! What a great hubby! Make sure to keep us informed with lots of photos. This looks like it will be a great addition to your chicken breeding plans.

After week one: These chicks are the cutest!!!!

I have to admit that out of all the chicks I have hatched d'Uccles are the cutest and Yancy those are pretty babies!! But did I see that Amy is thinking of getting pure blacks? Those are the ones I had thought would finely get to me!!! Keep us informed on that one Amy!! Although after looking closer at the colors patterns of the Mille Fleurs I am pretty stuck on them too....

It would be next year before I decide on getting another color variety. I want to learn as much as I can about the d'Uccles before I jump into more. I research s much as possible before I get into anything and then I research more before expanding. I would like to speak with long time breeders before I dedicate myself to raising more of these fine beauties. What I have now are pets mostly, they they come from show birds.

You know I will let this thread know when I get any more and also over on the d'Uccle thread. I think it is exciting that the club is moving forward with an upgraded website in the next 6 months. That website is long outdated and needs some improvements.

I am excited that you have decided to jump on board with us!

Yes, I tend to get the birds then do the research which I admit does not always work for me. I do not think I can go wrong with these little bird though. My DH is not big on bantams but after he has watched our daugther with the silkies his mind has changed with them. Why this weekend he picked up our silkie partridge roo and hugged on him. I really can not wait to see how he and our daughter are with the d'uccle!
