South Carolina

I noticed the other day that a few of my guineas look like they've been watercolored with brown paint. They are kind of cream and tan in big swaths. I have no idea what colors I have!

Done playing catch up- well kinda. I cheated and only read the last 3 pages! With all the reading I do for college.....

We had an amazing Thanksgiving this year. My daughter who was supposed to come for one day brought her boyfriend and ended up staying for 3! Poor guy got drug around for shopping on Black Friday, but handled it really well. He may be a keeper

Then Friday my DH and DS headed to Daytona speedway to check out the car show for the weekend where there was over 7,000 cars to look at. DH said it was like stepping back in time as out in town all you could see were cars from the 50s and 60s. They will be heading home today and I can't wait to hear all the stories.

I hope everyone had a great Holiday and now time to gear up for Christmas! We got our lights up, and our tree decorated. I'm wishing it would cool off a bit more so I can toss some logs in the fireplace and drink some hot chocolate!

Have a great day everyone!

I am so glad your Thanksgiving was a hit! So nice when family comes in and brings along new friends.
I would have loved to see the car show. One of my favorite things is old cars. Wish I had the money to fix them up and enjoy them.

Can't believe you are getting ready for Christmas already!
I am still trying to take down the Thanksgiving and fall decorations and get them put back in the closet.
The kitchen is in disarray and DD was tired of seeing it a wreck so she went with a bunch of girlfriends out to the mall. Wish I could escape it but I moved some pens and refilled some nest boxes, dumped pools and refilled. Still have 2 brooders to clean but I think I will watch a show on the computer and eat more fudge. It will rain this afternoon and I can stay inside and clean brooders then. Who said it was Sunday and a day of rest? Oh yeah, DH, who is in bed napping.

we got allour thanksgiving and fall decor. up and then we had Morgans 18th b-day party last night.. so there was pink everywhere.. had a great party over 80 people in my house including a punk/scream-o band and a push pit in my livingroom.. but they were great totally professional band and they kept everything in a controlled chaos.

Im ready now to start decorating for the holidays..

Yeah, that was just Thursdays hatch. I had more hatch out this morning.
Sizzles, Frizzles, Mille Fleur Cochins and this time around I hatched out a few Araucanas since DH has been pestering me to do so. There are still 6 eggs left to hatch out but so far 9 are out.

I could have sworn I said no more hatching after Oct!

Ladies and gents... wondering if any of y'all have a need for a couple barn cats. They're 6-month-old neutered shorthair male kittens, and are driving me up the walls. They're definitely not indoor cats, I refuse to deal with indoor/outdoor (read: fleas) and don't have the property for outdoor cats. They're obnoxiously excellent hunters and will make someone a fantastic pair of mousers. Admittedly, they're not very good with chickens and are going to be big boys as they're already topping the scales at 8lbs and still growing.

Really just looking for better living conditions for these guys.... if anyone is interested/has the outdoor space for them, let me know. They're sweet boys and one definitely gets his "must have a lap" moods... I just didn't do much thinking about expenses and circumstances before taking on two kittens in grad school
